Tagaveoliste püsikiiruse hoidja saab signaali tagasillast:

Impulsskettaid tehti kolme mustriga:
The 1987 and older 700 uses a 12 tooth tone ring
The 1988 700 is the only year they used a 96 tooth tone ring for ABS and the speedo
and from 1989 and on they use a 48 tooth tone ring.
ABS cars use a pulse converter to change the signal for the speedo to use.
To repair the unit you could either use the signal converter from a newer car,
although I don't know if the speedo is the same or different
700-series 87 will not have the converter, only cars with the 48 or 96 tooth use them.
The 1987 cluster is identical, except for the speedo. There are 3 wires going to the 87 speedo, red/blu, brown, grn/white.
The 1990 speedo has the same 3 wires, and an additional brown/white wire.
All '92+ Volvos have ABS, not one of my '92+ cars has any sort of separate converter,
the rear axle speed sensor output signal is shared in parallel with the ABS computer,
it's not wired in series with it, so there is no chance for the ABS ECU
to modify the signal that reaches the speedo.
